Munda Mia Therapeutic Community

Located in Kalamunda, where the foothills of the coastal plains meet the Darling Scarp and a lookout that offers sweeping views that stretch to Perth’s city skyline, Munda Mia offers a long-term residential treatment program to women looking to address the harms associated with their alcohol and other drug (AOD) use.

Munda Mia Therapeutic Community (TC) is a 20 bed women’s only treatment service providing education and support to women with the option to bring their children (5years and under) into treatment with them.
The program focusses on family and domestic violence education, support with homelessness, parenting skills and cooccurring mental health concerns.

With an emphasis on social learning and mutual self-help, individuals will address their alcohol and other drug issues in a holistic way. A strengths-based approach, therapeutic interventions and positive peer support will teach and encourage self-responsibility and guide individuals towards optimal health and wellbeing. Treatment at Munda Mia TC consists of a four-stage program and individuals can tailor their treatment experience to meet individual needs and identified goals.
