Does someone in your family or does your loved one have an issue with their drugs or alcohol use. This can cause an immense amount of stress and conflict. It’s completely normal to feel helpless, frustrated, worried and upset.

Your family member or loved one may be acting very erratically – maybe they’re becoming aggressive, angry and violent, or withdrawn and detached, or both at different times. You might not know how to act around them, or how they’re going to behave when you see or talk to them. Their drug use might be affecting your whole family.

We can help!

Cyrenian House runs a support group where you will be able to receive the support you need from one of our experience family counsellors and other families in a similar situation. You will get to talk about what is happening for you in a safe, confidential environment.

This group encourages you to share your experiences and it will help you to learn ways to cope with the problem and the stress it brings.
