What is Rehab?
Residential rehabilitation – rehab for short – describes our drug and/or alcohol treatment program that we provide in a residential setting (long-term care option where you stay in a residential setting rather than in their own home or family home). Our rehabs are abstinence-based and will provide you with an intense program of support and care to become becoming drug-free.
Cyrenian House Residential Rehabs
Cyrenian House, a not for profit organisation founded in 1981, is one of the premier alcohol and other drugs (AOD) treatment service providers in Australia, with over 40 years of experience of successfully operating residential rehabilitation services and other treatment services for adults across the entire spectrum of the community.
Following the concept of “community as method,” Therapeutic Communities (TC’s) use active participation in group living and activities to drive individual change and the attainment of therapeutic goals. With an emphasis on social learning and mutual self-help, you will address AOD issues in a holistic way. A strengths-based approach, therapeutic interventions and positive peer support teach and encourage self-responsibility and guide you towards optimal health and wellbeing.
Treatment consists of a four-stage program. You can tailor your treatment experience to your needs and identified goals.
Consistent with the Cyrenian House commitment to the health of people who access our services, all Cyrenian House services provide a tobacco-free environment. Support and assistance to remain smoke-free is included in our residential treatment programs.
